David Newble reports:  In order to improve your driving, why not come and join the experts at Isle of Wight Council and share in their motoring and driving knowledge by enrolling on a Better Driving Course?

The next course will run on a Wednesday evening, starting on the 4th June at Enterprise House, Newport from 7.30pm - 9.30pm and will continue each Wednesday evening for 5 further weeks.

The Council’s Road Safety Team runs the 6-week theory and practical combined course, designed to improve your driving standards. The course aims to help drivers become more confident, skillful and most importantly safer, minimising the risk of a collision involving yourself.

For only £25, drivers will be given the opportunity to learn everything from predicting the road ahead to having the right driving attitude to make sure you are safer on the road.

The course covers the system of:

* Car Control
* Road positioning
* Cornering & bends
* Speed and safety
* Overtaking
* Followed by an assessment drive.

If you would like to become a Better Driver or just find our more about the course, then please contact Mervin Goldring, on 01983 823799
