Isle of Wight Police Discover Body In Harbour

Ryde Harbour Isle of Wight Photo Agency.News Update: Following the discovery of a man’s body found floating in the water in Ryde Harbour by a member of the public this afternoon police can confirm they are not treating the death as suspicious.

They are in the process of tracing next of kin.

Post mortem will take place on Wednesday, February 13, 2013.
Inquest likely to be open by end of this week when formal identification will take place.

As reported earlier today: Isle of Wight Police can confirm they are investigating the discovery of a body found in Ryde Harbour this afternoon at 12.23pm (Monday, February 11, 2013).

The man has not yet been formally identified, and a post mortem examination will take place in due course to establish the cause of death.

The discovery is not being linked to any missing persons enquiry.
Next of kin have not been informed as of yet.
