Isle of Wight: Last Orders for Godshill Sports and Social Club.

On Friday, Godshill Sports and Social Club an institution once vital for the residents of Godshill on the Isle of Wight, finally closed its doors after 80 yrs of service to the community.
A spokesman for the Godshill Sports and Social Club, said, With only 40 or 50 members, lack of volunteers and not many young people coming into the village, the club was not being used and it was best to close before major debts were incurred.
Sadly the clubs snooker team has now folded however, the Darts and Crib team are to relocate at the Taveners.
