An exciting cultural event is coming to the Isle of Wight this Christmas.  The first ever live relay of The Royal Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker is to be screened at Cineworld, on the 28th December! 

For the first time in the UK, the Royal Opera House has collaborated with Cineworld cinemas to screen The Nutcracker performed by The Royal Ballet live to cinema screens across the country from the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden, London.

The Nutcracker ballet draws on the imagination and fantasy of E.T.A. Hoffmann’s story of Christmas Eve when young Clara creeps downstairs for one of her presents but instead finds herself at the start of a night of magical adventures.

Tchaikovsky’s music is some of the most memorable of all ballets with a wealth of famous melodies.

This is the first live ballet event of its kind in the UK as a whole and promises to be an event not to miss.   With tickets available for only £15 and a child’s ticket on offer for the special price of £5, The Nutcracker screening at Cineworld is a very special festive treat that the whole family can enjoy together on December 28th.
