Baxter Bradfords Coasting Photographic Exhibition showing in the ‘Olympus Gallery’ 16th March to 6th May 2007. Dimbola Lodge on the Isle of WIght.

Baxter has a huge passion for living life to the full and using his cherished titanium and ebony large format camera, Baxter prefers to make use of the early hours to find the best natural light of the day, often racing to rig up the camera in time to catch a brief moment of magical or dramatic light.
Part of the fascination he has for photographing outdoors is having to anticipate, think, and adapt to the conditions before they change. The large film area produces smooth tonal gradation and captures tremendous detail, which can be appreciated on repeated viewing of each image.
In both landscapes and close-up, his images capture an extraordinary depth of detail and softness otherwise missed by a fleeting eye, the aim being to convey the natural beauty of our landscape, so that the viewer wishes that they were in that place, either at that time or in the future.
