Isle of Wight Bus Users to Have Their Say

Bus Users on the Isle of Wight, are to have a chance to meet the people responsible for running their local bus services.

National Passenger Group Bus Users UK is holding one of its Bus Users Surgeries in Newport, in St Thomas’s Square, 10am – 3pm, Wednesday 28th  October  2009.

The surgery will be held on board a Southern Vectis bus parked in the Square, and senior management from Southern Vectis will be on hand to discuss comments and suggestions. Everyone will receive a written response if required.

Local Bus User Group I.W. Bus Users Group will also be in attendance on the day.

Phil Tonks, Operations Officer for England, Bus Users UK said;

“It is important that local bus users on the Island get to meet the people responsible for providing some of the local bus services. Public transport is a vital service, and this type of meeting helps people to have their say whilst out and about in the town”.
