Island Pulse Intro: Island Water Activities Centre Nets Funds From Cowes Rotary.

This week Manager Mike Acton and Trustee John Power of the Island Youth Water Activities Centre (IYWAC) were very pleased to welcome officers from the Rotary Club of Cowes, as during the visit President of the Rotary Patrick Massey handed over a donation for the Centre’s rebuilding fund.

Patrick Massey, Brian Saunders and Noel Harrison of the Rotary Club were able to meet with five of the young people (pictured) on a half-term start sailing course.

After chatting with the young people (pictured)  Patrick Massey commended the Centre and stated the importance of continued support for local organisations such as this.

The cheque for £1050 represented the proceeds of the Sailover Luncheon held on 13th September 2007.  Receiving the Cheque from Patrick Massey (pictured) is Aaron Hall, Daniel Atherton, Daniel Davies, Jack England, Tom Baldwin and Mike Acton.
