Its official and we have a badge to prove it Island Pulse has been  nominated  over several categories for the 7th Hantsweb Awards 2009.

We would personally like to thank our visitors, for the nominations, as without your valuable contribution and input, our news and information for the community by the community would not be possible.

The nominated websites are currently being shortlisted into top tens for each categories and we hope to be able to publish the shortlisted sites for each category mid November. If you are successful in being shortlisted you will receive a further e-mail informing you that this is the case.

The judges will then look at each of the top tens and select three finalists for each category. We hope to publish these sites early in January and, again, we will notify you if you are a finalist.

Every finalist will receive an invite to the Hantsweb Awards ceremony which is scheduled to take place on the morning of 23rd February at the Planetarium at Intech in Winchester where the winners of each category will be announced.

The standard of the entries improves year on year and we wish you good luck with the next phase of the judging process.

The Hantsweb Awards play a huge role in improving the standard of online services, encouraging good practice and raising awareness of the opportunities that Internet services can offer communities, so take a minute to nominate yours.

Anyone can nominate a website as nominations opened on 2nd September 2009 and will close at midnight on 26th October 2009.
