Jun 28th, 2009 | By Vincent Woods | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse
The NatWest Island Games opened yesterday to a fanfare of music, dancing and fireworks. There were 7000 people in the Wiklöf Holding Arena to witness the teams marching in, the raising of the flag and the water ceremony. And after it was all over the athletes all threw their seats in the air in celebration… now let the competition begin!
