Would you like to display your work in the Isle of Wight Festival chill-out area? Island charity Gift to Nature who manage the Hive are seeking more local artists to help make this year’s display even more enchanting.
Calling creative Islanders: artists and decorators, the crotcheters, knitters, weavers and painters, the seat-makers, flag makers, recyclers and upcyclers.
The Hive at the Isle of Wight Festival has become many festivalites favoured venue – a little bit of calm amongst the chaos of the festival.
Sam Buck, Gift to Nature Manager says “We want the chill-out area to reflect the great talent we have on the Island but at the same time avoid creating any waste or using up valuable resources. We need creative people who can use natural and recycled materials to help us build a really special place”.
- We have ten flag poles in need of fluttery flag type decoration – including the pole
- We have plain plywood sheets (8’x4’) in need of bee-autifying
- We have hundreds of metres of Heras fencing to fill with bees, flowers, bugs and anything else you can think of.
- We need crafty activities during the Festival (Fri-Sat 12-6)
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your work – we are happy for you to include you name / website on or near your creations. The Hive often attracts thousands of people as well as local and national press.
If you are interested in creating something for the Hive then please get in touch with Sam Buck via email@example.com email.
