Hover Over For A Horrible Half-Term

This half-term Hovertravel is the quickest way to enjoy some spooky half-term outings. In Portsmouth families can experience a scary Halloween at the Historic Dockyards (22nd – 30th October). As well as the chance to hear a story all about a shy sea monster under 5′s will then have the opportunity create your own spooky sea monster to take home plus  there is a Halloween pumpkin family trail onboard HMS Warrior 1860.

Alternatively you can take the family to visit the Spinnaker Tower of Terror! (27th October – 4th November)  where staff will be getting into the Halloween spirit and inviting visitors to do the same. Children can dress up in Halloween costume and get into the tower for just £1 (when accompanied by a full paying adult). You can then hunt for clues around the Tower to discover the location of the missing lighthouse keeper for a chance to win a spooky Trick or Treat hamper.

Once Halloween has passed, on Thursday 1st November, Hovertravel is holding its second ever Hover Open Day at their Southsea Terminal with briefings from pilots & engineers, guided tours of the craft and special 20 minute tours of the Solent. The day will consist of briefings from pilots and engineers, guided tours of the craft and a special 20 minute pleasure trip on the Solent. This is a unique chance to see behind the scenes at Hovertravel and to understand how this iconic operation works.
