Help Required to Track Down Freshwater Vandals.

Jan 5th, 2007 | By Amanda Johnson | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse

Police are asking for anyone who had been out celebrating Boxing Day in Freshwater to help track down the vandals responsible for repeatedly attacking a local shop.

Vandals used a brick to smash both front windows of Kate’s Clothing Store, The Avenue, Freshwater, between 10.45pm and 11.20pm on Tuesday, December 26th 2006.

The brick was thrown up to four times before the windows broke.

The incident is the third time in as many months that the shop window has been damaged.

Freshwater and Totland Bay Neighbourhood Police Officer Martin Jones said: “Freshwater is a close knit community and I believe that someone knows who has been carrying out the damage in the local area.

“This incident took place around pub closing time and I suspect that people leaving these establishments would have witnessed this incident.”
