Vestas workers and campaigners for the “Green Revolution“, staged the open-air event in St James’ Square, Newport, to raise awareness of the Green Revolution.
Unions, climate change activists and green businesses along with green minded residents rubbed shoulders to raise public support and awareness for workers’ rights and climate change.
It was a celebration of community spirit, with music and guest speakers on a soap box, telling it like it is. All served up at the pavement cafe which was giving away great food and a cuppa.
At 12 noon ex-Vestas workers who occupied their factory in July, lead the countdown and PUSHED THE GREEN BUTTON to declare the REVOLUTION… ON!
