Gas Works In Shanklin
Oct 21st, 2008 | By Simon Butler | Isle of Wight News From The Island PulseThe council is working with Southern Gas Networks to ensure that disruption in Shanklin High Street, is kept to a minimum, for visitors, residents and business owners whilst essential work is carried out.
“The works on the High Street in Shanklin are being undertaken by Southern Gas Networks to replace a gas main.
During this time, it is important to stress that people can still access the town’s car parks and other parking areas and visit shops and businesses on the High Street and in other parts of Shanklin.
This includes temporarily suspending the one way system on Pomona Road to allow access to businesses, which is very important especially as we build up to Christmas.”
