Children with disabilities are being invited to a free event next week designed to encourage movement, miming and dance.
‘Dance with a Difference’ is a weekly event and is open to children aged three to ten years. It uses music and dance to help children develop their creative and social skills at the same time as taking part in exercise.
There are two events next week, both being offered free to parents under the short breaks scheme.

The first session is held on Tuesday 14th August between 5pm and 6pm at St John’s Hall Church, Drake Road, Newport.

The second is on Thursday 16th August at the same time at West Wight Sports Centre on Moa Place in Freshwater.
Parents who want their children to take part need to register. They can do this by contacting Lesley Forde at the Family Information Zone on 821999 or by emailing lesley.forde@iow.gov.uk or by contacting the activity provider Lynda Burroughs on 551478 or 07716 774123.
Children taking part should wear comfortable clothing and soft shoes such as trainers.
Dance with a Difference is held on a weekly basis. Following next week’s free sessions, each event costs £2 per child participating
A family member must be present at all times, siblings are welcome.
