Isle of Wight Police are making a fresh appeal to find Luke Jeremy Cowan who was was last seen on Tuesday, June 16th, 2009.

Luke’s disappearance is described as “totally out-of-character” by his family.

Luke’s father, Larry Cowan (pictured), said:

“The past few weeks have been an upsetting and nerve racking time. I’ve been looking everywhere for my son and asking everyone I know whether they’ve seen him.

“I’ve had lots of comments from people who say they’ve heard from someone else that he’s OK. He’s not in any trouble with his family. We all love him and are asking him to put our minds at rest by making contact to let us know directly that he’s safe and well.”

Detective Sergeant Tim Allan of Isle of Wight CID said:

“Police are continuing to investigate numerous unconfirmed sightings of Luke Cowan in the Sandown area of the island.

“Luke’s wallet was found in a Somerfield supermarket in Sandown. Officers have taken statements from potential witnesses, and examined CCTV footage from shops and buses.”

“We continue to work with Luke’s family and friends who attended Newport Police Station yesterday Wednesday, July 8th to collect an extra batch of police missing appeal posters to distribute and display across the island.

“I’m also renewing a direct appeal for Luke himself to contact his family or police just to confirm he is safe and well.”
