Facelift For Cowes Harbour Office
Jul 2nd, 2009 | By Peta Stuart-Hunt | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse
Cowes Harbour Commissioners have given the go ahead to the Harbour Office getting a makeover.
The current cladding and windows are in a very poor state of repair and need urgent attention. According to Cowes Harbour Master Capt. Stuart McIntosh this must happen “before the windows fall out” .
The intention and proposal that will shortly be submitted to planning will allow for a re-clad of the building and the addition of a low-pitched roof to improve the appearance and insulation of this outdated building that has such a prominent waterfront location.
After a careful review of its options, local architect Martin Hayles has drawn up the plans and has provided this artist’s impression.
