Dedicated Day To Meet Isle of Wight Authors

A number of authors from the Isle of Wight will be at Freshwater Library on Tuesday 30th September to sign copies of their books as part of the library’s Local History Day.

Book fans with a keen interest in Island authors should put the date in their diaries. as the day is dedicated to all literature about the Isle of Wight.

This includes everything from local history, fossil hunting, flower arranging and fictional. It’s also an opportunity to borrow or buy books.

Wendy K Harris, author of Sorrow of Sisters, will be signing her new novel ‘Rocken Edge’.

Joy Johnstone will autograph her new book ‘Before and After of the Arch Rock’ while Judith Hammer will sign copies of ‘Island of Flowers’ which is her first publication.

Isle of Wight Council Deputy Leader George Brown said

“I can think of no better opportunity to come along and meet some of the Island’s finest authors and get copies of their books signed. It is also a chance to discover the vast range of books dedicated to the Isle of Wight and I am sure the day will prove very popular”.
