Companionship at Christmas To Combat Festive Loneliness!

Christmas is traditionally a time of festive cheer and being together in the warmth of family and friends. However, sadly that is not the case for everyone on the Isle of Wight, and instead a growing number of older people face spending Christmas alone.

To help combat the increasing trend of festive isolation, Abbeyfield has launched a campaign to give older people an alternative to spending the Christmas period alone.  For the second year, Abbeyfield will be running ‘Companionship at Christmas’. They will be offering free overnight stays and delicious Christmas lunches throughout the festive season (24th December – 4th January) in many of their houses across the UK.

If you would like the gift of Companionship this Christmas time, contact Abbeyfield 0845 052 3553
