Chale Summer Show 2008

Chale Summer Show  on the Isle of Wight is always a popular event with residents and tourists.  Now in its 82nd year, the show takes place at the Chale Recreation Ground along the the Military Road.

The two day horticultural show on on the 2nd - 3rd August is an annual event with a focus on local produce and crafts but most of all family enjoyment.

Saturday will see the Island’s High Sheriff, Alan Titchmarsh, attending the show in the morning for an impromptu presentation. 

Just a few of the things on offer at this years show include:

Horticultural Marquee with flowers, vegetables, home crafts, children’s art and crafts, with trade stands and food outlets. 

The Medway Queen Preservation Society will be represented with a wonderful display of pictures and a stall in support of the current restoration project.

Continuous Arena Events and static displays, including marching bands, traction engines and historic vehicles.  Matt Splatt Circus Skills and everyones favourite Magician David Randini.
 
Thrill to the amazing stunts from James Dylan’s Stuntword Team, with the most innovative ramps, equipment and talented Riders, they are sure to WOW! the crowds with their impressive stunts.

All the fun of the fair with an even larger fairground this year, for even more excitement why not try out the Helicopter Ride and fly over the showground.

With so many fabulous attractions makes for two full day’s of fun and enjoyment for all ages.  Entry fees: £7 for adults £5 for OAPS and children under 16 free, with free parking. 11am - 6pm
