Dust Devil Touches Down On the Island.

 A whirlwind is caught on film on the Isle of Wight.
Eye witnesses in a car park up on Brading Down, which overlooks Sandown Bay, report seeing the chalk surface being swept up, with the effect, which lasted about 15 seconds resembling a geyser.

Sailors Get Lost In Snow.

The Coastguard today, warned sailors to be fully prepared before going to sea, as four small boats needed assistance after becoming lost this morning in snow storms.
Coastguard rescue units were sent to help two yachts, one off the Isle of Wight and the other off Portsmouth.

Signs that spring was finally in the air vanished overnight, as the weather turned wintry and the Isle of Wight woke up to a blanket of snow this morning (Sunday).
