The JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race 2007 Awards took place on Sunday afternoon on the Isle of Wight, and it was recognised that the race had attracted entries from across a whole range of sailors.

Dame Ellen MacArthur, sailing the Extreme 40 catamaran JPMorgan Asset Management, has taken line honours in this year’s Isle of Wight Round the Island Race 2007.

The alarm clocks may have to be set early for the Round the Island Race, but this has not deterred thousands of sailors who are already enjoying the party atmosphere in Cowes, home of the Island Sailing Club and organisers of the largest yacht race of its kind in the world.

On the Isle of Wight this coming weekend the Team Ellen MacArthur Trust (TEMT) will Sail, Bike and Walk the Round the Island Race 2007.

The final countdown has begun to one of the world’s largest and most famous yacht races, the JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race.
Sailing legends, Sir Robin Knox-Johnston and Robin Aisher will be racing together again this year in the race.

The Island Sailing Club and title race sponsor JPMorgan Asset Management are pleased to announce plans to expand the Round the Island Race weekend of events.
While the race continues to form the main focus, sailors and spectators are invited to come to Cowes on Friday 22nd June to see the state-of-the-art Extreme 40s in action [...]
