On Saturday, tens of thousands of spectators turned out to witness a most Extraordinary Island Carnival Procession in Ryde. The carnival parade created a wonderful welcome and prelude to athletes and visitors attending the much anticipated opening ceremony of the 2011 NatWest Island Games XIV.
