The Isle of Wight Council is set to establish a £1 million First Time Buyer Fund to help Island residents take their first step onto the property ladder and provide a much-needed boost to the local housing economy.
Over 200 children roamed Dinosaur Isle on St Valentine’s Day when the BBC Earth Cube landed on the Isle of Wight. It was YouTubers Vs David Attenborough when the archives were opened up in the Earth Cube. The children went web-centric and create some crazy narration for ‘Walking with Dinosaurs’ clips in the sound booth.
Red Funnel has helped the Isle of Wight Zoo to welcome a new addition this week – a six year old white lioness named Frosty! Frosty will be given her own accommodation to begin with, and joins Casper, the white male lion already living among the zoo’s collection.

Plans to create a a potential new inland surfing facility on the Isle of Wight have been unveiled by the team behind The Wave: Bristol. Following a market review carried out by Colliers International, the team behind The Wave were approached last year by Wightlink and the Isle of Wight Council about the possibility of creating a site on the island.
