Lifeboat Responds to Urgent Call from Wife of Injured Yachtsman
Cowes RNLI lifeboat went to the aid of an elderly man who was knocked unconscious aboard his yacht in the River Medina late last night. The man was with his wife on the 24 foot Sea Witch, moored alongside an offshore pontoon near East Cowes Marina.

Isle of Wight High Sheriff Presents 1st Wootton Scouts With Awards
Two female and four male Scouts at 1st Wootton Scout Troop have been presented with their Chief Scout’s Gold Award by the Island’s High Sheriff, Nick Hayward. Two other Scouts also received awards: Sam Hewitt was declared Wootton’s ‘Scout of the Year’ and Dylan George was made Senior Patrol Leader.
