Todays WeatherYesterday (Saturday) Totland saw over 200 demonstrators turn up and march through the streets to Freshwater on the Isle of Wight, in peaceful protest carrying their message ‘Save our Schools.’
Overall the organisers say the march was a fantastic success, view the video of the demonstration below.  It appears everyone turned up to support one another and now they look forward to the massive protest next week at 10.00am Saturday 26th January outside County Hall. (more…)
Flavia Bateson reports: Entries for the 77th annual race around the Isle of Wight opened on the 3rd Jan 2008. The JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race, will start from Cowes, on Saturday 28th June 2008.
Fundraising for charity has become an increasingly important aspect of the event and in 2007 over £70,000 was raised for the race’s four charities - Breast Cancer Care, Macmillan Cancer Support, Prostate UK and The Ellen MacArthur Trust. (more…)
