On Saturday, the largest gathering of Salsa dancers on the Isle of Wight since last summer, raised £319 for Ryde Inshore Rescue, as part of the independent lifeboats “Go Orange” appeal to support independent lifeboat stations.
Isle of Wight Stargazers are being asked to count the number of stars they can see (with the naked eye) within the constellation of Orion. The national Star Count will take place between Friday 8th February – Monday 18th February.
The 21st Annual IW Hedgelaying Competition is to be held on Saturday 23rd February 2013 from 10:00am until 3:30pm. In a change from the previously advertised location this year’s site is at Dunsbury Farm, Brook, by kind permission of Mr. & Mrs. Patrick Seely.
April 14th marks the start of the season’s waterborne activities at the ISC, with a full programme of racing and cruising events planned for 2013 culminating in the final race of the Autumn series on 6th October.
