Bestival Bandstand To Rock Big Green Picnic.

Bestival will be rocking the Bandstand Stage at this weekend’s inaugural Isle of Wight Big Green Picnic.
The Bandstand Stage will play host to a cornucopia of local musical talent, with local folk band The Wellbeing, environmental theatre by Quantum Theatre, Jazz and storytelling all represented at some point over the weekend.

This coming weekend, residents and visitors to the Isle of Wight, are being invited to go green and have fun at the Big Green Picnic.
The event is being organised to show families and individuals how they can contribute to the Eco Island aim of making the Isle of Wight England’s greenest place.



Eco Island Partnership With Southampton University.

The Isle of Wight Council has signed a groundbreaking partnership deal with the University of Southampton to help realise its Eco Island ambitions.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the prestigious Russell Group University and the council will see the council and academics working together to reduce the Island’s carbon footprint.
