A list of schemes to improve accessibility, road safety and traffic management on the Isle of Wight’s transport network has been announced.
The first phase of a major £250,000 scheme to upgrade one of the Island’s busiest cycleways is progressing well.
This year, members of the Fire and Rescue Service will cycle 100 miles on the Isle of Wight in a single day, before tackling 100 mountains in just 10 days in France, under a challenge called ’100 Here 100 There’.
Details are due to be agreed on how the Isle of Wight Council will spend a £3.95 million government grant focused on boosting ‘green’ tourism on the Island.
