All the independent lifeboats on the Island, Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat, Ryde Rescue and Freshwater Lifeboat had a very successful Go Orange weekend with tremendous support from the public, schools and businesses.
Fire Service Extinguish Campervan Fire
The Isle of Wight and Rescue Service were mobilised this morning to a report of a campervan on fire in Ryde. Upon arrival crews tackled the small blaze and extinguished the flames within minutes.

Police are appealing for information and witnesses after a van was set on fire and park land damaged in Cowes. At 3.30am on Monday, February 18th, 2013 police were called to Northwood Park, Cowes following the report of a vehicle being driven in the grounds of Northwood House.
