A list of schemes to improve accessibility, road safety and traffic management on the Isle of Wight’s transport network has been announced.
HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) is reminding people in the South with an income over £60,000 whose family is still receiving Child Benefit to opt out before 28 March if they wish to avoid filling in a tax return and repaying the benefit for the 2013/14 tax year.

The Island’s MP Andrew Turner has commented on the Same Sex Marriage Vote which was held yesterday evening in the Commons. The Bill received 400 votes in support and 175 against – a number of MPs abstained and some registered a ‘positive abstention’ by voting in both the Yes and the No lobbies.
