Do something different on the Isle of Wight this autumn and abseil down Carisbrooke Church Tower on Fireworks night!
Enjoy the stunning views across the Isle of Wight and Hampshire from the top of the tower (if you dare to look down!), whilst raising money for Christian Aid, to help some of the world’s poorest communities out of poverty, for good.
Image: St Mary’s is a beautiful church which has been a prominent feature of the community since Norman times.
Monday 5th November 2012 -St Mary the Virgin Church, Carisbrooke - Sponsored Abseil, Isle of Wight.
Once registered, you can choose whether to abseil during the day or to increase the heart rate further by abseiling in the dark, potentially with a few fireworks in the background! Friends and family are welcome to come along to cheer you on.
The person who raises the highest amount of sponsorship (by the day of the abseil) will receive an extra-special customised ‘Christian Aid star fundraiser’ T-shirt!
Essential information for all abseils:
You must be 11 years or over to take part in any of the sponsored abseils and all under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
- Registration fee: £15 per person
- Minimum sponsorship: £60 per person
- Minimum age: 11 years
