Calling All Festival Fans.

Jun 25th, 2008 | By Citizen Media | In: Charity, Festival, Isle of Wight, News

Oxfam are recruiting volunteers for the 2008 festival season.  There are two ways young people can volunteer, either as a Steward or a Campaigner and applications are now open to the general public.

Stewards are the eyes and ears of a festival and roles differ at each event, such as checking tickets, watching for fires, showing people where to camp and various other duties.Campaigners help spread Oxfam’s message and encourage festival goers to get involved with all the organised activities.

To be either an Oxfam steward or a campaigner, you must be 18 or over on the first day you volunteer and will be required to work three shifts during each event.

When you submit your application you will be required to pay a small refundable deposit.   Please visit Oxfam’s website to find out the information you need to apply.  You cannot be a steward and a campaigner at the same festival.
