Carolyn Keene reports:  New Isle of Wight Festival’s primary sponsor BT, have released an extra 5,000 tickets for this years Isle Of Wight Festival, which takes place at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle Of Wight from 13th-15th June.

Voted the Best Major Festival at the UK Festival Awards in 2007, the three-day event had sold the previous allocation of tickets in a matter of days, however the festival’s new sponsor, BT, have made more available.

A total of 500 tickets will go on sale each weekday on the BT website up until 18th April, giving fans the chance to snap them up at four per person. The tickets will cost £130 for a three-day camping pass.

This will be your Final Chance to Buy Festival Tickets!! as BT, started releasing tickets on 7th April.

Matthew Dearden, director of home phones says “This year’s sponsorship of the Isle of Wight festival is an exciting first for BT, and we’re pleased to be offering customers a last chance to get their hands on this summer’s must-have musical tickets”.

Music fans that are not lucky enough to purchase a ticket should look out for BT competitions in the national press to be in with a chance of winning tickets to the festival.

BT will also be launching a Battle of the Bands competition and the winning band will get to follow in the footsteps of rock legends and perform live on the main stage at the festival.

Nearly 70,000 people are set to watch The Sex Pistols, Kaiser Chiefs and The Police will headline this year’s festival Other acts on the line-up include Kate Nash, The Cribs and Scouting For Girls.
