Brading the Experience is Closing Down

Oct 16th, 2009 | By Carolyn Keene | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse

Sad news as we discover Brading the Experience or as many would call it Brading Waxworks is to close.

The attraction will remain open seven days a week until the end of October and then at weekends during November and December.  Its half-term Halloween activities will also go ahead as scheduled, before the wax museum closes on January 3, 2010.

The original Isle of Wight Wax Works Museum and Animal World was founded by Graham Osborne-Smith and opened in 1965. Today owned by Islander Robert Ball who developed this historical and wonderfully interesting attraction into more than just a Wax Works.

The Isle of Wight County Press reports here:

Robert Ball, director of Brading Trading, the operating company for Brading the Experience (formerly Isle of Wight Wax Works), announced on Wednesday the attraction had become unsustainable.
