Boxing Day Chilly Dip On Wight

Daring dippers will take part in annual Boxing Day Swims for charity on the Isle of Wight.

Many swimmers are looking forward to taking the plunge on Boxing Day and going for a swim at Ventnor in aid of the Island charity PATCH.

The Ventnor Boxing Day dip is at midday prompt and usually attracts over 50 ‘brave’ swimmers/dippers  including children.

This annual event helps to raise funds for the island charity PATCH – Peoples Approach to Cancer Help – which helps and supports islanders to travel to the mainland for Cancer treatment.

Anyone who would like to join in can collect a sponsorship form from The Ale and Oyster, Ventnor Esplanade.  Fancy dress is optional!

If you know of any other community dips taking place, please let us know.  We expect there will be videos popping up for everyone online to watch swimmers plunging into chilly waters off the Isle of Wight.
