Body Identified As Missing Woman

A body found by police at cliffs in the Shanklin area at approximately 10.00am on Thursday, October 16th was formally identified today (Friday, October 17th).
 
A relative confirmed the identity of the body as Ann Helen Faber, an Island Artist who also ran Wild Horses the 4×4 Island rescue service, of Blythe Way, Shanklin, Isle of Wight.
 
Ms Faber was reported missing at approximately 10.20am on Monday, October 13th of which police officers were extremely concerned for her welfare.

Police carried out air and land searches of locations on the east side of the Isle of Wight where Ms Faber was known to visit and stay in the past.

At this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious, and police are preparing a file for the Isle of Wight Coroner.
