BHF Cycle Round The Wight
Jul 18th, 2009 | By Vincent Woods | Isle of Wight News From The Island PulseA pair of adventurous cyclists from Coventry this week set off on a mission to pedal around the Isle of Wight – twice – in aid of the British Heart Foundation (BHF).
Nigel West and Duncan Radford are raising money for the BHF and arrived on the Island today ahead of the epic cycle tomorrow.
Nigel West said: “Unfortunately we don’t believe The British Heart Foundation gets enough recognition for the good work that they do compared with some of the other charities out there.
“We thought that by taking part in this challenge we will raise money to help fund more research into various heart conditions.”
This news is not to be confused with Cycle the Wight 2009 which takes place on Sunday 20th September 2009.
But if you just happen to see Nigel and Duncan cycling around the Island give them a wave and remember to pop a donation here: BHF website towards their very worthy charitable cause.
