Nov 20th, 2009 | By Lucy Johnson | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse

Although the title may look cryptic to the uninitiated, news reaches our inbox:  Bestival has won Best Medium Sized Festival in the UK Festival Awards 2009

Bestival curator BBC Radio 1’s Rob da Bank, will no doubt respond with pride at Bestivals latest win, as Camp Bestival also scooped its own award too! Best Family Festival.

As Best Medium Sized Festival (2009): Festivals nominated for this award generally started life much smaller, but have evolved upwards from their original roots due to their popularity and success in filling a growing niche. With a unique identity, following, and intimacy, many outdoor music fans think middle-capacity festivals get the perfect blend of atmosphere and scale.
