BESTIVAL 2009 Sold Out!
Jul 16th, 2009 | By Simon Blackmore | Isle of Wight News From The Island Pulse
Bestival HQ is buzzing because for yet another year all tickets are sold out! With a whole two-months left until showtime, all the tickets for Bestival 2009 have been snapped up by lucky punters who are in for a tip-top treat in the Year of the Spectacular.
A pleased as punch Rob da Bank said:
‘I’m quite speechless at selling out a whole eight weeks before Bestival actually fires off into space. It’s testament to our amazing and very loyal crowd that we’ve achieved this in a tricky old year for festies, so roll on September and thanks for selling us out.’
With headline sets from Massive Attack, Kraftwerk and Elbow lined up for our September shindig plus appearances from the likes MGMT, Fleet Foxes, Seasick Steve, Klaxons, Lily Allen, Soulwax, La Roux, Bat For Lashes, The Cuban Brothers, Little Boots, Michael Nyman, dan le sac vs Scroobius Pip, Lemonade, Mika, Carl Cox, Diplo’s Mad Decent Sound System and tons more it’s going to be a rip-roaring rave up with something for everyone. But, as ever, the fun doesn’t stop with the music…
There’s a super-exciting new site layout, plus our brand new Afterburner stage, pyrotechnical pleasures aplenty with Blastival and a Big Wheel to survey your surrounds from on high, so it’s going to be an electrifying adventure even for old hands at Robin Hill. With Outer Space as the theme for our world famous fancy dress you can be sure that there will be an intergalactic love mission going on on the Isle of Wight and then, of course, there will be our peerless fun and games and madcap high-jinx across the site with surprises around every corner! Bestival wouldn’t be Bestival without tea and cake and some old favourites including the Bollywood Bar, Farmers Market, WI Tent, Kid’s Area, Breastival Baby Temple, Pamper Lounge and your trusty Bestival 87.7FM keeping you up-to-date on our festival feast of Bestival brilliance.
