Detectives investigating an assault in Ryde have charged two people.  Just after 1am on Saturday, June 28th, police were called to reports of a man being attacked by a group of people on Monkton Street.

Isle of Wight Detectives are appealing for information after a burglary at a property in Carisbrooke.  Sometime between 2.30pm and 6.15pm on Tuesday, June 10th, a safe containing jewellery and approximately £2,000 in cash was stolen from the house in Froglands Lane. Newport.

Rural Broadband Users Exceed Urban Counterparts.

A new Ofcom report shows that, for the first time, there is a greater proportion of households with broadband in the rural parts of the UK’s nations and regions than there are in urban areas. Read more »

Maritime And Coastguard Strike.

The Public and Commercial Services Union (PCS) has announced their intention to take 24-hour strike action on 11th-12th April and again on 23rd-24th April.  The service offered from the Maritime & Coastguard Agency (MCA) will see members withdrawing from non-essential 999 emergency duties.
