Following a night of strong winds and rain, the stormy unsettled weather front for the Isle of Wight looks set to continue, and there is a risk that any part of the UK could see some snow during Tuesday.

RNLI’s all weather lifeboat Alexander Coutanche was called at 11:20 a.m. (Sunday) by Solent Coastguard to the assistance of a yacht with 7 adults on board that had been dismasted and was drifting near to the Brambles Bank in near gale force winds.
