As the GBR Red Force The Pace in the Rolex Commodores Cup 2008, day three took on a different complexion, both in terms of the racing and the weather.
The offshore race set sail at 10.30am from the Royal Yacht Squadron line off Cowes, but rather than the welcome sunny 10-20 knot conditions

Conditions on day one of the Rolex Commodores Cup  2008, could not have been better for the 45 boat fleet.  After a two hour delay waiting for the wind to fill in, the event got underway shortly before lunchtime with two windward-leeward inshore races in the Western Solent.

Time Again For Rolex Commodores Cup.

This weekend, expect to see lots of sailing activity off the Isle of Wight, as the annual Rolex Commodores’ Cup begins on Sunday 29th June, with the first race scheduled for 10.30am on Monday. 
The teams are leaving nothing to chance, every advantage is a good advantage and no detail is being overlooked.

This weekend the Isle of Wight will witness the Solent springing to life for the 17th Red Funnel Easter Challenge. 
Sixty five entries are now confirmed including Ben Ainslie (pictured) Olympic Gold medallist who will be racing on board the TP52 Henri Lloyd Cutting Edge.
