Isle of Wight Veterans Day.

National Veterans Day is marked on the Isle of Wight, on Friday, with an outdoor service (weather permitting) at Northwood House in Cowes.
Hundreds of war veterans living on the Isle of Wight, are expected to take part in a day of celebration to respect their careers and remember their colleagues.

IW Council Supports Three Green Energy Projects.

The IW Council has supported three ‘green’ energy projects across the Island costing nearly £40,000.
Solar power, and power from heat generated in the ground have lowered the carbon footprint on buildings in three villages across the Isle of Wight - and saved thousands of pounds in energy bills.
