Alleged Theft of Charity Donations

Sometime between 7.30pm on Saturday, December 6th, and 1.00am on Sunday, December 7th, the red coloured box disappeared from outside an address in Coronation Gardens in Shanklin where Christmas lights are on display.
The charity donations box was bolted to a fence, which was damaged during the alleged theft.
At the address, there was a plaque stating the donations were intended for the Medina Centre in Newport, Isle of Wight, which supports people with disabilities.
It is not known exactly how much money was inside the box at the time it disappeared.
Anyone with information, or who saw anybody acting suspiciously in Coronation Gardens in Shanklin on the night of Saturday, December 6, is asked to contact the Volume Crime Resolution Unit at Cowes Police Station on 0845 045 45 45, or call the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
