Alex is a superb musician, equally comfortable on both acoustic guitar and lap-steel. His music blends folk, country, and blues influences effortlessly and expertly, his voice gentle yet passionate and his playing technique contrasting advanced finger-style with sweetly understated parts.
In the fashion of the troubadour or bard Roberts crafts stories, love songs, ballads, spriritual insights, or protests into a mesmerising web of song.
