Ventnor Park bandstand VFringe ‘Art in the Park’
Quay Arts is proud to bring to Ventnor Fringe 2012 its popular showcase of original song writing, Acoustic Originals.
Taking over the Ventnor Park bandstand during the Ventnor Fringe event ‘Art in the Park’ on Saturday 18 August, Acoustic Originals will be bringing you some of the best original music from emerging and established acts from the Isle of Wight.
Acoustic Originals traditionally takes place in Quay Arts’ Café Bar and attracts audiences of around 150, who gather to hear short performances from a varied and eclectic line-up of artists from the island and beyond who have but one thing in common – they make original music.
Rachel from Quay Arts says, “I love this format of listening to just a snippet of music from people who are creating new work and it’s really exciting to be able to bring Acoustic Originals to Ventnor Fringe. We’ll be in the park from 12 noon until 6pm showcasing some of the amazing musical talent the local scene has to offer.”
For this Acoustic Originals outdoor excursion to Ventnor Fringe, a fantastic line-up is taking shape including The Golden Strands, Beano, Doug Alldred, In Motion, Jazmine Heath, Cherishport, Sam Sheasby, Claydon Connor, and the Wild Oats.
