Isle of Wight MP, Andrew Turner, has warmly welcomed the launch of the Coastal Communities Fund, set up by the Government to assist coastal communities to grow local economies and create job opportunities.
Police Appeal After Assaults On Woman In Ryde
Isle of Wight Police are continuing to investigate a report of two assaults on a woman in Ryde. Officers are making further enquiries after a 39-year-old woman from the town was attacked in the High Street outside Mellish’s post office by four women.
Witness Appeal After Road Traffic Collision
Police are appealing for witnesses to the circumstances leading up to a road traffic collision in Sandown. Officers were called at around 9.50pm on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 when a red Skoda Fabia collided with a blue Renault Clio and a garden wall in the Fitzroy Street area.
Met Office Update Snow Forecast To Include Isle of Wight
The Met Office has extended its at risk of snow alert to include the Isle of Wight. The Yellow Alert area has been extended eastwards to cover more of southeast England.
