Officers of the Isle of Wight Roads Policing Unit are seeking witnesses, after a Newport motorcyclist received serious injuries in a collision with a Ford Focus.

News Update: FIRST BOAT HOME!  Team Origin provisional finish time 09.33.50.  ICAP Leopard’s finishing time is 09.53.05 and she is carrying on to try to break the WSSRC time for the complete circumnavigation of the Isle of Wight.

We can expect an all star cast, in today’s Round the Island Race 2008, as a record 1,875 have entered the fleet.  The race, will be divided into 11 starts at 10-minute intervals, with Sir Robin Knox-Johnston (pictured) firing the gun to signify the start of the first race at 6 am.

Chale School is hosting a Rose Fayre today (Saturday 28th of June) at 2.00-5.00pm.  There will be lots of fun and games, music on the lawn, make and do’s, plant stalls and a grand auction, including 3 Rose Competitions.

Last week, whilst on a regular voyage in cyberspace, researching a revolt over illegal car parking and CCTV.  I felt a desire to peek outside Chez Web Ferret and take in the sea air on Ventnor Esplanade and look what I spied with my candid eye.
