Carolyn Keene reports:  National Recycle Week 2008 kicks-off today (Monday 2nd June) for a week of exciting, high profile activities focusing on the benefits of recycling.
The annual event, which is now in its fifth year, is organised by WRAP in partnership with the leading materials recycling organisations, British Glass, Corus, Novelis, PaperChain and Recoup.

Appreciation For Constabulary Training.

Under the community engagement scheme which has been running for two years, six events will be taking place across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.



Man Still Missing From Campsite.

John Coles reports:  Police are still looking for a man who disappeared last month from a campsite on the Isle of Wight.
Michael Bone, 57, of Lower Clapton, checked into Nodes Holiday Park on May 6th. He vanished shortly after, leaving behind clothing and a mobile phone in his recently purchased tent.



We See Lights @ Isle of Wight Festival.

The results are in for the BT National Battle of the Bands and we can expect to see ‘We See Lights’ performing at this years Isle of Wight Festival.
As Island Pulse reported earlier, the final took  place  at the top of the BT Tower on Saturday 31st May.
